Bohanan's Prime Steaks and Seafood

We ate at the bar as we found a place at the last minute, but our bartender welcomed us perfectly. I wanted the meat to be very well cooked, so it was slightly burnt. Our chef prepared a special gluten-free sauce for me. I expected a little more truffle flavor in the truffle fries. But overall I liked it very much. Thanks

The atmosphere here was divine, they had live jazz, the group and singer were phenomenal. Our waitress was extremely helpful, I was impressed with her knowledge of celiac disease, she assured me the chef would take precautions for our dietary restrictions and she offered substitutes to accommodate us in anyway possible. The steak was delicious, I’ve had steaks at several high end restaurants but I’ve never had such a tender steak before, it was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed Bohanan’s so much we have added it to our list for next time we’re in San Antonio.

We had dinner for 2 on the outdoor patio. Just after we sat down the restaurant got overwhelmed with patrons that were planning to attend the theater show across the street. Our waiter came over and apologized and said he was asking for assistance. The Wine Steward showed up in a few minutes and served us for most of our meal. My wife needs to be gluten free and both of our servers were extremely knowledgeable about what the kitchen could do (most items) and the few items they could not. My wife had the fillet and I had the short ribs and both were excellent- some of the tenderest and best we have ever had. The ambience of the patio was great, the service fantastic and the food just perfect.
