Bole Bole Ethiopian Kitchen & Bar

We had enjoyed Ethiopian food previously but not in the DMV Area, we found this place on google with 4.9 rating and gave it a try. We ordered the Bole special which includes two steak dish and one chicken stew with three vegetable dishes for three of us, the portion was generous and we were not able to finish in spite of loving the taste thoroughly. The price is more than reasonable! It’s also worth mentioning that they also offer the gluten free injera (the thin bread you eat with the entrees ) and plenty of vegetarian choices. Last but the least the lady who served us was very tentative and friendly, with a lovely smile on her face all the time. Parking is super easy and the seating is kids friendly too. We will definitely come back and highly recommend the restaurant.

Quiet monday evening dinner. Great vegan food. Veggie combo of 7 dishes was delicious! $22 for mesir wot, kik alicha, shiro, beets, cabbage, fosolia, gomen. The food came out so quickly. They make the injera themselves and it is very fresh and soft. (You can also buy a bag og 8 pieces for $7, it's 100% gluten free). Got to chat with the owner who happened to be working that shift, and he explained the place just newly opened up and got totally renovated a month ago (September 2024). They have wifi and very cozy places to work, including a quieter upstairs space/lounge. They also have hookah.
