I started coming here as many of the reviews mentioned it is gluten-free friendly. That is true of the arepas (which are great) but not any of the apps unfortunately. They don't have a dedicated fryer, which is disappointing given how many GF/Celiacs clearly come here. I glutened myself on the plantains here a few weeks ago (I assumed it would be a GF fryer). @Management - Consider a dedicated fryer to be truly gluten-free friendly.

So so soo good. Gluten free Arepas and delicious meats. If you get Arepas, apps, or just meat from here it will be good. Very flavorful and filling. The owner is super kind as well! Get the party animal Arepa.

Husband and I were looking for a different place to have a late Saturday lunch. This is right in our neighborhood, walkable and had great ratings, so we gave it a chance. No wait, friendly staff and the food was excellent! I had the Cowboy Arepas, he had the Pabellon, and we shared a mango juice and fried yuca. (Forgot the pics because we just started eating.) Everything was tasty and were large portions (I had 2 meals out of the 1 Arepas); and as a bonus arepas is gluten free! If you live in the neighborhood, this is somewhat of a hidden gem on Sheffield, with outdoor seating too. If you're walking fast to Wrigley or Clark street, you might miss it. I'm going to try the Queen next time!
