We celebrated my daughter as she graduated from KU. We were a party of 9 but not the only large party this day. The food was delicious (they have gluten free options), the service was exceptional. What made this visit most memorable was our server, Hope. Hope was more than our server. She was our celebration director. She engaged the entire room in honor of not only my daughter, but also for the other party's celebrations ! She made the whole event special.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with celiac disease as our experience made it clear that, despite their advertised and verbally confirmed accommodations, the restaurant does not take dietary restrictions seriously. We contacted the restaurant in advance to confirm that a specific salad listed on their gluten-friendly menu could be safely prepared for someone in our party with celiac disease. We were assured that it could be. Upon arrival, we requested the gluten-friendly menu and clearly informed our server about the dietary restriction. He acknowledged it and made a note. However, after taking a bite of the salad, we discovered several pieces of fried onion mixed in - an ingredient that the gluten-friendly menu explicitly stated would be removed. The server apologized and brought a replacement, but although he said he informed the manager of the situation, no one came to our table, and no apology or compensation was offered.

Absolutely ridiculous experience with our waitress. Background information needed: I am Muslim, I cannot have alcohol or bacon. My Father is gluten free. We made sure to tell our waitress when she took our orders that we cannot have any alcohol or bacon in our food as well as my Father's gluten free allergy. I've been to many restaurants similar to Bonefish Grill and waiters ALWAYS are very attentive to our dietary restrictions. Yes I know there is a lot of meat and alcohol on the menu of this restaurant but our waitress herself said she is able to make my salmon dish blackened instead of bourbon glazed. My Father also ordered a salad without crutons since he's gluten free. While she did seem nice she obviously didn't care or pay attention based on what happened afterwards. Came with with my Father's salad WITH croutons and had to remake it. And you know I completely get it, mistakes happen. But then brings my salmon GLAZED IN BOURBON. AND. GREEN BEANS WITH BACON. We talked about it to her, apologized and took it back. Then the manager comes to us and makes our meal on her for the inconvenience this has caused us (Thank you, I really appreciated it). THEN. BRINGS BACK MY MEAL. STILL WITH BACON. At this point I just moved my salmon and potatoes to a different plate to eat my food. Then when the waitress was talking our plates back my Mom told her about the bacon. She didn't care or heard and just said "Oh yeah thanks". Absolutely ridiculous. Food was really good as well as the atmosphere. But I should not have to deal with that at a restaurant. It is YOUR JOB to waiter. Not hearing about somebody's food restrictions can KILL SOMEBODY. What if my Father's allergy was deathly and he didn't notice? Not coming back here.
