We celebrated my sister’s birthday dinner here because we’ve been wanting Korean food. We ordered so much and everything was delicious. The bonsai chicken wings were really good and would be better with a cold glass of beer if we were in the mood to drink. She favorited the Galbi which I too liked. My SO has celiac disease so the plethora of GF options was great! He ordered the spicy chicken wings, dolsot bibimbop, and bonsai calamari. He loved all three especially the spicy chicken wings, they were saucy, seemed tomatoe-y with a good amount of spice. The dolsot bibimbop has crispy rice at bottom of the bowl and according to the server it was the best part of the dish. I ordered the jobchae GF with chicken and the soondubu with seafood GF. I really liked the soondubu and would order it again. The chicken jobchae was a bit dry, I would’ve preferred if it were chicken thighs or if I were to order it again, I would order it with beef. The side dishes complemented our dishes perfectly that we got a second helping. Our favorites were the hollow vegetable and the yellow radish which my 2 year old loved as well. We will return for the food as well as the service. The server lady was very pleasant. We were told she really cared about the quality of the food and this was confirmed as she recommended a few things and mentioned the quality of the chicken wings. She said she just got good cuts of it just in time otherwise she would not serve it. The service was great and the food has a clean feel- well presented and tasted amazing. We will definitely return! Thank you Bonsai!
