Bora in Bethel, CT is hands down my favorite restaurant — I’m truly obsessed! I’ve been coming here for years, and it’s always my go-to spot for family dinners, date nights, and especially birthday celebrations. The experience is consistently amazing. The restaurant itself is always clean and welcoming, the wait times are never too long, and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food? Mouthwatering. Every dish I’ve tried has been bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. One of the things I appreciate most is how accommodating they are for those with food sensitivities. They offer a great selection of gluten-free options and are more than willing to make substitutions to fit dietary needs — something that’s really important to me and my family. On top of all that, eating at Bora means you’re supporting a wonderful, family-owned local business. The owners are such lovely people, and their warmth is reflected in the atmosphere and service. I also have to shout out their other restaurants — Barnwood Tavern in Danbury and Barnwood Grill in Newtown — both are equally fantastic and worth a visit! I recommend Bora to everyone I know — friends, family, coworkers — and everyone always comes back with rave reviews. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out!

Date night at Bora was one for the books! The service was impeccable. This is a well oiled machine. Anybody with celiac disease knows the giddy feeling when we hear the words ‘dedicated fryer’ or ‘we only use rice flour’. GIRL… we ate. Fried calamari???? I never thought I would eat that again!!!! Avocado Fries?!? *chefs kiss* and that aoli is a godsend! I had the bora chicken and my boyfriend got the t-bone special… the asparagus was incredible, mashed potatoes to die for, everything perfectly cooked and plated. Portions 10/10. Then the dessert… affogato? Affogettaboutit. Crème brûlée, don’t mind if I do! Both knocked it out of the park. We will be back after coming out of our food comas!
