Best steak in San Diego. Best in California?!? Gluten free knowledgeable. Steak sampler platter is really different, very impressive. Dirty hashbrowns are gf, also unique and tasty. Would definitely go back.

This is a business/causal upscale restaurant, with an outdoor 2nd story dining and bar area. The main restaurant is mostly booths, but tables are available. The food is above average, and worth the cost. They have several gluten sensitive options and the chef can accommodate other food allergies. The wine list has a wonderful variety of options either by the glass or bottle. The bar has many options to select from, also. I have eaten here a few times when in town, however this is not a quiet restaurant. They play the music too loud which results in conversations being louder to be heard over the music. Then I noticed the music becomes louder. Additionally, the kitchen is in the main dining room adding to the noise factor as the restaurant gets busier. Overall, the food wins over the noise and I definitely will eat here again. Yes, I would recommend Born and Raised to my family and friends.
