I just don't understand the 4.8 rating for this place which attracted me too. Therefore, I can only report on my experience today, I don't know what the situation is on other days. It's going to be long, sorry, but I have to write it out: The place: Upon entering the semi-basement room from the street, my glasses immediately fogged up, the air inside was so humid and warm (it was 17 degrees outside). But it wasn't just humid, it had such a pervasive onion-fat smell (yes, vegetable oil is fat too) that I could still smell it on my hair and clothes hours later. There was probably no or no ventilation or deodorization equipment of any kind. The kitchen, the service and the sitting area are all in one, without an odor extractor it is unbearable. It's lucky that I asked for takeout. Foods: Thai vegetable soup with coconut milk It looks and tastes exactly like a vegetable soup: reddish-orange layer of oil on top, slightly translucent cloudy juice, 1 tablespoon of peas and carrot pieces in 3 dl of soup. You can't see or feel coconut milk in it, nor any Thai spices. Characterless, tasteless, soup-like liquid. Cauliflower meatloaf with sweet potato puree Finally, the origin of the fried onions spreading in the air has been revealed! Cauliflower meatloaf and sweet potatoes also contained plenty of it, but to my surprise there were also plenty of raw onions. The cauliflower meatloaf was extremely oily, had no seasoning, and its flavor was based only on onions. The sweet potato was not pureed, but chunky, with lots of onions, with a decidedly vomit-like texture. Nuts This was the funniest, even if I wanted to laugh when I was hungry: it was made of bread cubes. Probably from gluten-free bread, but that's absurd, something could be invented for that I will also share a picture of this. We ate all three batches as a family, and then everything went in the trash. I paid HUF 8,500 for 3 dl empty soup, 2 inedible main dishes + 1 dessert, in boxes. I don't know who "Botáné" is, but the person who cooked here today certainly doesn't have the knowledge of how to prepare tasty, high-quality vegan and gluten-free food.
