This was our first experience of this new restaurant. It was fabulous!
The food was incredibly good.
I started with Gamberi - grilled Mooloolaba king prawns in nduja with charred lemon which was served with a great slice focaccia to soak up all the wonderful juices!
After this course, we knew that the main course was going to be good….and we were not mistaken.
Secondi was Gold Band Snapper Fregola complete with baby roman artichoke, summer beans, baby zucchini, fregola sarda, basil pesto. Outstanding is the only word to describe this dish.
My wife, who is gluten free, had the same dish but had a great selection of vegetables instead of the fregola sarda.
The basil pesto just lifted the dish but was certainly not overpowering. Great dish.
To complete lunch my wife and I shared the Torta Capresa, a gluten free flourless dark chocolate cake, bitter white ground almonds, Amaretto disaronna creme inglese, caramelised almonds - a fitting end to a wonderful lunch!
Last, I must not forget the wait staff. Their service was first class through the the lunch.
This restaurant is now my number one restaurant on the Sunshine Coast. Well done Team Bottarga!!
