Went for a birthday dinner on a Sunday. The Ranch house was decorated for Christmas and it looked very seasonal. The menu has a few options for appetizers - we shared the beet salad which was very good and a burrata with sour dough & French baguette - I tasted the cheese but as I eat gluten free, I could not have the bread but the others enjoyed it. For mains my husband had the strip-loin steak while my daughter who is a pescatarian and I had the cod which came in a tomato broth with fennel, shrimp, mussels and a fingerling potato. Some mussels were tough and overly fishy but some were good - seafood on the prairies is always a risk. The space is like a large rustic dining hall with a fire place at one end and of course an antler light fixture! Service was friendly and water glass fillers were super attentive. Portions were adequate and when they heard it was our daughter’s birthday, they brought her out a bite size birthday treat which was nice of them to do. Cost was roughly $75 a person for two appetizers and three entrees.
