My boyfriend and I are new to the area and decided to try this spot out last weekend for a breakfast sandwich, since on Instagram they looked amazing. I have an allergy to wheat and coconut so sometimes getting breakfast can be tricky. I came in and immediately saw that they were advertising a gluten free bread to add on to a breakfast sandwich, so obviously I ordered that with an egg and cheese. When I ordered the cashier abruptly told me is it an allergy, when I then said yes I’m allergic to wheat. She then told me they can’t guarantee that it won’t be involved in cross contamination. That’s completely fine, being that with wheat I mostly get congested and sneeze a ton, which still isn’t a fun time lol. In my opinion you shouldn’t advertise that you have gluten free bread, if you can’t guarantee it to be safe for folks with celiac. But my god it was the best gluten free bread I’ve ever had, and I did not have a reaction. Only thing I’m confused on is I wanted one of the smoothies very bad, but every single one had coconut yogurt. I asked if we could just keep that out and just add more milk or whatever I wasn’t picky. They saw no they can’t make substitutions. I get it I was adding something expensive but I just said remove the yogurt. In my opinion make that an option for those with allergies or even in general. When a smoothie is twice as much as your breakfast sandwich, you’re losing out on money. Overall good breakfast sandwich, but the service and “rules” are the reason I won’t be back.
