We catered for 110 adults, plus 20 kids under 12.
This was not the usual neighborhood pizzeria or bagel store catering. This was so much more for the same price.
To start, some cousins couldn't have nightshade, some needed to be gluten free. All accommodated, no problem.
We ordered chicken plicata. Delicious. It always is. Penne vodka too.
We got eggplant rollatini. They hit it perfectly, great texture and flavor. Cylinder of ricotta mixture in the middle.
The real star to me was the pulled pork. Even BBQ restaurants can present pulled pork that could have been Dinty Moore's. But this place makes pork that is not only flavorful but filled with bark. You can't just take a bite; you have to go back for more. This comes with perfectly presented sweet rolls, like Hawaiian rolls.
Unfortunately, I was the host, and we provided take-out containers, so I missed some dishes. I did get a delicious hunk of the 5-foot sandwich, on tender Italian bread and stuffed thick with Italian cold cuts. We also got a five-foot bagel sandwich.
We asked them to duplicate a roasted potato dish that the family's matriarch always made. They came back with a great dish rich with bacon and olive oil and crisp roasted potatoes.
I also need to report on the seasonal bagels, shaped as a pumpkin with great pumpkin flavor. My family loves them!
