I called Broken Bones Barbecue in desperation a few nights ago. I was bringing dinner to another family and found out last minute that they have to eat gluten-free. I had no time to make another meal as I was trying to get to another engagement. After some quick internet research, I saw that this restaurant had mostly gluten-free food. I called them up and told them my situation and that I had very little time. I told them how many people I was trying to feed and that I had no idea what I wanted. They made recommendations for their more popular selections that were gluten-free and which dinner would be the right size. Plus, it was all ready to be picked up in 15 minutes. I was so grateful for the fast, friendly, and helpful customer service I received!

We are looking for awesome BBQ in the Springs area and were hopeful this restaurant would be our new go-to for BBQ away from home. Overall, I would eat here again but I am also interested in comparing this location to the other one in Monument. I ordered the 2 Meat Plate with Pulled Pork and Brisket (all meats here are Gluten Free). The Pulled Pork had a soft texture to it that felt more like eating pulled chicken and little to no smoke flavor. The brisket was tender and pulled apart easily with a fork. It had a clear smoke ring and dark bark. The look and feel of the brisket did not match the taste. Again, I could not taste any smoke flavor, black pepper or salt. The side dish I ordered was the baked beans (Gluten free) and I asked to skip the bread (not Gluten free). The baked beans were by far the best thing I had. They had a smoky, sweet flavor in the sauce that was balanced by the savory texture and flavor of the beans. My husband ordered the 2 Meat Plate with Brisket and Spicy Sausage. His side item was fries (more like large potato wedges) and bread. When I asked him to describe his food he said "Meh.". He had the same opinion of the Brisket, the sausage had good flavor but not a lot of heat, the fries were under seasoned and the bread was a little too charred on one side and not charred enough on the other.
