Let me just tell you, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ain't got nothing on my love of good Pizza and being kinda pudgy, rocking a sweet beard and dad-bod, and growing up for part of my childhood with NYC in the horizon, I consider myself a Pizza Conesoiur. So, here's an honest review.
Its good. I'll start with that, but its not great. The ingredients are fresh, sauce is flavorful and true to what they should be. The dough is so...so close to being just right. The lack of thin dough bubbles, no semolina under the crust, and a not chewy enough crust are the downfalls. It passes the grease test, not too much. It was delivered hot with plenty of melty cheese. We had one large Sausage and mushrooms, and another large with Pepperoni and Jalapeños. Our 12 year old's only complaint is about too many toppings, or maybe the spacing...if those are even complaints. The two larges fed 3 of us with basically a whole pie left over. Pricing for premium pizza made by hand from a locally owned business is appropriate for the quality.
I give it a 4.25 out of 5 because of the crust. Yeah, its that important...seems like a gluten thing to me, but i don't know. We are pretty lucky to have a few very good locally owned pizza places in our town that you can't find elsewhere. We have tried Brooklyn's a few times, and its definitely better than the last place in the location. We will absolutely order from them again as well as the other locally owned options.
