Brownstone Pancake Factory (Brick, NJ)

Got gluten free pancakes. Very tasty

CELIAC WARNING!!! THEY ARE NOT GLUTEN FREE. We went to dine there today, and my wife (celiac disease) asked at the door if they were truly gluten free. They assured her they were. Upon sitting we were told again they were gluten free, but we dug a bit regardless. The GF pancakes are cooked on the same grill as the normal pancakes, as are the bacon, sausage, and other meats. THEY ARE NOT ALLERGEN FRIENDLY. There is cross contamination. However, they are 'Gluten Friendly' or 'Gluten Diet Friendly' for those who cut gluten as a choice. Thankfully we kept asking specifics, or my wife would have been in trouble. They were understanding and, though we offered to pay for our coffees, they told us not to worry. So, all good with staff, menu looked great, just be aware there is a danger here to those who are celiac. Hopefully they'll change their wording before someone gets really sick or they end up in trouble. Average stars as I can't provide a N/A response.
