***THIS RESTAURANT COOKS IN PEANUT OIL***
Ate half of an omelette here this morning before I started to have an allergic reaction. It is not clearly or prominently stated either on their website, the menu, or in restaurant. The waiter did also not let us know. I am extremely allergic to peanuts and had to abruptly leave the restaurant only eating about half of my omelette. The manager offered no apologies. So in all I paid $28 including tip for an omelette I could not eat and a cup of bagged tea. My dinning companion pointed out as well that no dishes were marked gluten free, vegetarian, or vegan. Had the peanut oil been stated clearly anywhere I just would not have eaten there. In 2023 when allergies, especially peanut allergies, are so common it’s cruel to not stare on the menu or a sign near the door. At the very least the waiter could say something. A person could die. Please consider switching cooking oils or having a sign on the door as many places that cook in peanut oil do these days.
