This restaurant is not competent to handle food allergies. This isn't the standard cross-contamination risk common to all shared kitchens. Multiple members of staff clearly do not understand what ingredients are in their food or how to accommodate clear allergy requests. I'm severely gluten intolerant (likely celiac). When I ordered, I asked for the food to be made gluten free, and the server even checked with the kitchen to ensure that the dish I was considering was gluten free. When the food came, the salad has croutons, and I was suspicious because non-specialty restaurants don't generally have gluten free croutons. I asked the server again, if the food was made gluten free. She checked with the kitchen and assured me that it was. I began eating, and the server returned with bad news. Apparently, someone in the kitchen had told her that the croutons "were gluten free, but had flour in them." This is impossible, if the flour was regular wheat flour. I had to excuse myself from a professional work lunch to go throw up in the bathroom in an attempt to mitigate the later severe symptoms I would experience from eating bread. It was embarrassing and very uncomfortable. Clearly, staff in the kitchen are not properly trained on ingredients and allergens. Just as clearly, the very nice and pleasant server wasn't very informed on how to navigate the menu for allergies. I never want to eat here again, and I just hope that this lackadaisical approach to dietary needs doesn't happen to someone who suffers anaphylaxis.

Went in on a quiet Thursday afternoon and the service and food were top shelf. Ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. Brussels were excellent and the cornbread is actually GLUTEN FREE! Start with the deviled eggs or the street corn dip!
