So, I used to love this place. This afternoon, I picked up a gluten-free pizza with Daiya cheese. Not only was it undercooked (I’ve ordered dozens of these and I should know), but the manager on staff at 1:30 pm on 06/13/23 attempted to explain that their gluten-free crust is “never fully cooked” and the Daiya cheese isn’t supposed to melt all the way. When I explained that I couldn’t pick up a piece of the 4-square without it completely falling apart, he said that was “normal.”
Suffice it to say, he didn’t offer any solution so I will not be returning here again. He was also rude and abrupt. It’s really unfortunate how downhill this place has gone over the past year and, well, chalk it up to management I suppose. I’ll be looking for other Detroit-style pizzerias going forward or hoping that the Alpine location has their act together more than this one.
