Burger House Wittlich

Not bad, but not necessarily great either. It's okay. I ordered the meat medium, but it was very dry and overcooked. The gluten-free bun was very cold, as if it had just come out of the fridge. Unfortunately, the server didn't know anything about gluten-free options. I asked again if the fries were gluten-free, because the menu says burger+fries for gluten-free +2€, so I assumed they were gluten-free if you could choose that, but just to be on the safe side, I asked. She went to the kitchen to check and came back with the statement that they weren't completely gluten-free. So I opted for the fries instead and opted for a very small salad. Unfortunately, she seemed very unsure about the salad as well. My husband had a regular burger. The fries were very good, but his burger was also cold, and the meat was overcooked and dry. Unfortunately, the homemade iced tea was much too strong and tasted like a store-bought one. Unfortunately, we're disappointed that it wasn't particularly cheap, and I wasn't satisfied. It would be really nice if the staff were better trained in gluten-free options, especially since something like this is already offered.

Since our gluten-free app showed us that this restaurant offers appropriate options, we came here specifically because our son misses being able to eat a really tasty burger after being diagnosed with celiac disease. Right at the reception we met a friendly and knowledgeable employee who was very knowledgeable about the topic and recommended that we switch to a side salad instead due to the possible cross-contamination of the fries. He even took the trouble to pass on all the relevant information to the kitchen staff himself. We felt we were in good hands and had very good food. My son had his beloved smash burger and I had the best bowl I've ever eaten anywhere. I'm still amazed by the friendly service, the great selection and the great food! Everything was great and thoroughly recommended!
