Burgertory (Box Hill)

Beware if you have any intolerances or allergies. Ordered a burger on Gluten Free bun. When it was delivered it was obviously on a regular bun. I called to advise and they told me they had run out of GF buns and so they put it on a regular bun. They said they wrote a note to warn me. I rechecked the bag and there was no note. Explained to them how dangerous this was and how sick this could make someone. I also explained switching out the bun does not make it edible for me. No apologies, just “this is all we could do” and that I could come back for a low carb bun. When I asked if this was gluten free they couldn’t answer. Happy to take my money for a burger I can’t eat and charge extra for a GF bun but not very willing to apologise for a very serious blunder!

Four people shared excellent Poutine and Chili Bean Loaded Fries to start then we had a variety of burgers which were delicious, maybe a little small. My Sloth Burger on gluten free was very good and went down well with a pepsi. Service was excellent, tall young woman at the counter ran us through all the food options.
