Butcher and the Farmer

Relatively large restaurant that offers modern Australian grill with Italian influence. FOOD: Range of salads, meats, risotto, burgers etc. Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options were also available. Disappointingly most of our mains became cold by the time the last dish came out. Ideally, if meat takes longer to cook, then that should be cooked first so all dishes mostly come out together. STAFF & SERVICE: 2/5. Friendly but impractical. Mostly poor, albeit friendly service. We were super rushed despite the fact that we were there on a night where there were so many servers doing nothing and most of the restaurant was empty. No one was being served after our seating (we checked!) Entree plates were all removed despite the entrees having only recently arrived and being mostly untouched in the middle of the table. Rude and uncomfortable feels like an understatement. It was almost as if they were told that they absolutely had to rush to remove all the entree plates before the mains came out. No one on my side of the table got to try the entrees. Which was odd given the decent size of the table and the fact that it was a whole group of us. The tomahawk steak was ok, wouldn't rave about it though. To note: The fish and chip meal is sizeable. INTERIORS: Lovely modern, stylish and clean. Great for a business meetings etc. ACCESSIBILITY: Car park available out the front with ample wheelchair/pram/walker access and toilets. PRICES: Upmarket restaurant vibes with very reasonable pricing. OVERALL: Ok, although unlikely to go back. For others going, perhaps provide clear directions on wanting time to finish meals and drinks before having them removed.
