Cable Bay Vineyards

In 11th March 2025 I was fortunate to be part of a group celebrating a significant birthday. Cable Bay opened the restaurant to the hostess which was a magnificent evening. As I have Coeliac disease, the restaurant was informed. I have never had such thoughtfulness towards a coeliac sufferer. The bread was superb and the rest of the meal was all gluten free: great fish, tomato salad, cauliflower, fries and lamb. All spices and sauces were gluten free. The service was an outstanding and all four workers were friendly and cheerful. Thank you so much Cable Bay for an unforgettable evening. xxmoira

Went for dinner last night, omg I’ve never encountered such rude staff, they delivered food to our table that we didn’t order, then proceeded to argue with us that we did order it. The waitress barely understood English which is how I’m guessing she got confused. The GF meal, wasn’t gluten free at all, my daughter was in considerable pain all night, and still is today, and I should have know, when the food arrived at the table we asked which one was gluten free, and they argued we didn’t order GF, but then told us that it was GF after a few minutes of arguing. Also the staff were clearing the plates, while we were still eating … the whole experience was just weird. Expensive night out, wouldn’t go there again …
