We absolutely love this place! The food is amazing, with some great gluten free options (and the chef even makes special accomodations for dairy free in some cases!) Great wines, lovely intimate atmosphere. Great for special occasions or just enjoyable evenings with friends. I only wish there was a dairy free gluten free dessert option... but this doesn't change my rating.

Absolutely fantastic! I've been looking for a really good Italian restaurant in the west end of Ottawa especially and I've finally found it. Loved everything about this place, food and service was amazing! Went with my partner for our anniversary recently and everything was perfect. I loved the historic building and atmosphere, the little rooms are wonderful and I feel like I've stepped back in time. Stephanie was our server and she was fantastic. She helped me decide which meal would be safe for me as I can't have gluten and my Chicken Piccata with Fettucine Alfredo was excellent. And, unlike most places that charge at least $3-4 extra for GF noodles, they don't do that here which was a nice surprise. I always appreciate having a GF option, so always willing to pay extra. What a nice surprise! My partner enjoyed his lasagna and the butternut squash soup was very tasty, too. We were so stuffed, we had no room for dessert but enjoyed an expresso after the big meal. I really liked the atmosphere, even though it was crazy busy, it didn't really feel like it and it wasn't too loud or crowded. Definitely one of the best Italian places in Ottawa, I think it's my new fave. Will definitely be back!! Thanks for making our anniversary extra special, Cabotto's!
