If you have celiac disease, a Cuban restaurant is a great option, as are picadillo, vaca frita, and lechon. It's true, though, that you'll miss out on the famous Cuban sandwiches.
We ordered vaca frita and lechón, both with Cuban rice, beans, and fried plantains, and a milanesa (breaded steak) for those who don't have celiac disease.
They don't have gluten-free beer, but they tell me they'll order it for the next celiac who visits.
The prices are affordable for Miami (between $15 and $18). If you're not very hungry, I recommend sharing a plate, as they're very large. Check out the menus, which have cheaper dishes every day.
