Café Retro Brøns Kro

Café Retro is a restaurant that has a fine selection of junk food and other food items you might need after a hard day at the beach. The food itself could be somewhat better, and the prices are not favorable either. Inside it was quite sandy, but that is to be expected from a restaurant located right on the beach. The style was somewhat unique. There were staff in retro clothes, as well as music and screens playing old retro songs that take you right back in time. However, the costumes worn by the staff could have been better. There wasn't one particular uniform among the staff, it was fairly mixed. It also makes it a bit tricky to determine who works there and who doesn't. The worst part, however, was that when asked if a certain food item was gluten-free (due to celiac disease), an unconvincing yes was given. You get the impression that the staff are not familiar with the menu, but on the other hand, it could also be someone who is new to the job. All in all a 3 star experience. Nice after a hard day at the beach, but not if you want to go out and try a bigger culinary experience.
