Cafe e Dolci

Been here several times for coffee, I like it. Coffee is good. I haven't eaten here much, just a few treats as I'm gluten & dairy free and they don't have much for me. It's a good coffee shop though. I do recommend giving them a try. The food does look delicious especially the crepes/wraps, I've watched them make them from scratch while I've been there (wish I could eat them 😋).

Let me just start out by saying that I've been coming here for years and have never ran into any issues getting safe, gluten free food. The food has been great and I haven't gotten sick from it. It's one of the few places in the area I feel safe. HOWEVER, my partner and I went today for lunch and all seemed well to start. I stated that my order was a gluten allergy and was informed it would take a little longer to cook, which is no issue. After waiting 15 minutes for our order, we were informed that they would not accommodate my allergy and asked that I downgrade it to a preference. The reasoning we were given was that they were busy with it being Sunday. If I still insisted on an allergy order, it could be over an hour until I'd see my food and ultimately they were unwilling to take any measures to make food for me. To say we were shocked is an understatement. I have never had anything close to this happen since being diagnosed with Celiac disease 6 years ago. They did provide a refund but be assured we will no longer be returning.
