Cafe Oscar

Great little cafe, was very busy so we were lucky to get a seat. I have coeliac disease, so was surprised to find they offered a gluten free Smørrebrød, with a gluten free alternative to rye bread. It was really good, I had the roast beef and they were not stingy on the beef! Staff were really helpful and friendly. Was great to be able to try this traditional dish. They also had other gluten free alternatives

Ate here on two occasions, once for dinner and more recently for breakfast (or at least attempted to). Steak for dinner was average and quite overpriced compared to other similar restaurants in the area. Service was slow and quite uninterested. For breakfast I have attempted to have the brunch option, however due to gluten intolerance I asked to substitute the pancakes for egg substitute. Was informed quite coldly that this is not possible as the cook refuses to accommodate any variations to the set plate...decided to leave. Would not recommend the hassle as there are loads of better food options around with way friendlier staff.
