I love this place! Coming from Chicago, I was spoiled with quite a robust food scene and Root Cellar is right up there. What a gift to the Pittsboro community! Creative twists with fresh ingredients always. I’ve had everything from a crab cake to the chicken sandwich (one of the best of my life). They clearly label any dietary needs, which is amazing for my celiac husband. The patio is cute and the staff are friendly. Highly recommend!

Lovely meal, kind staff - we tried the ravioli, crab cake and watermelon salad. Great to have so many vegetarian and gluten friendly items, and we can't wait to go back and try new seasonal menu options.
