Caffe Cordina

Great Food, Disappointing Service I recently visited Cafe Cordina for lunch. On the culinary front, it was a fantastic experience—I ordered the gluten-free Ftira, and it was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the service was a stark contrast to the food. We had to repeatedly prompt the staff for basic necessities, specifically having to ask for a menu, napkins, and cutlery. Our waiter appeared entirely disinterested and honestly seemed out of his depth. While the food is well worth it, the front-of-house experience needs improvement.

I love cafes with a long history and similar interior. The music is nice and quiet, the service is also good. There are gluten-free options on the menu. You can also buy delicious gifts - sweets, Maltese liqueur, etc. The coffee was not bad, but not the best you can find in Malta.

My boyfriend and I had lunch here and it was an amazing experience. The menu had generous amount of dishes and most of the meals could be made gluten free. It was nice to see that traditional dishes were marked with a special sign, so you can have a taste of the local food. The atmosphere was perfect for a lunch spot in the heart of Valletta.
