I have just returned home after an evening at Ulla T with some good colleagues. I am almost in shock at how bad service we all received. We were a group of six people and had booked a table in advance. We sat there for approx. 30 minutes before staff came and took orders. After that, approx. 15 minutes before we got the drinks (were there not too many guests?) It was over an hour before we got the food served. One of my colleagues made it very clear when ordering that she is very allergic to gluten. My colleague therefore very politely pointed out to the waitress that it is therefore important that there is no bread in the salad. My colleague is then served a salad topped with three slices of bread? (The bread was on top of all the salad) My colleague again points out to the waiter that she had ordered a salad without gluten, as she is very allergic! The waiter then says "well you can just stop eating the bread" and then rolls his eyes. But my colleague is very allergic and will surely have a huge allergic reaction if she ate the salad which had so clearly been in contact with bread (we are all nurses so we know what we are talking about). The waiter then very demonstratively takes my colleague's plate out again. My colleague then asks if they don't have anything else they can offer instead of the bread - after which the waiter says that she will probably have to find out. You can clearly see that the waiter is rolling his eyes and thinks that we are very troublesome! A little while later, my colleague is served a new salad and a small cup next to it with salted almonds. We eat our food, which actually tastes good. However, at no time do any staff ask if we need any drinks or the like. We sit there from a total of 17.30 to 21.00 without the staff addressing us again? At one point, I ask a very "busy" waiter if we can't get a menu card, as we would like to have dessert and coffee - after which we are told VERY clearly to order at the bar ourselves. At that time, they still haven't cleared our table of glasses and leftover food. We decide to drop both dessert and coffee, as the service was so bad. When we go to pay, the waiter says, "the allergy sufferer has gone?" (my colleague had left a little earlier, as she had to go to work - of course she had paid herself) now the waiter thinks we have to pay for "her allergic person" salted almonds - which were just put in front of my colleague, as (we thought) a form for compensation? The waiter is also here very angry and very condescending. We end up paying for the almonds and then all agree that we will never set foot in Ulla T again! I can see similar reviews about really bad service and condescending staff. I do not understand that you do not take these complaints into account. In any case, you have just lost a whole bunch of nurses as future customers.
