Cala Luna Boutique Hotel

Everything at this property was exceptional. From the staff, rooms, pool, grounds but especially THE FOOD was simply incredible. Most of their ingredients are sourced from their local organic farm and their emphasis on organic, vegetarian and gluten free options is so thoughtful, we just LOVED everything on their menu but there's plenty of meat options as well. We ate their every night and most lunches and didn't get tired of the menu, there are so many options. And the included breakfast buffet plus a la carte options is the best free breakfast I've ever had from a hotel. So fresh, healthy, delicious with so many options for someone like me who has so many dietary restrictions (gluten free, egg free and low tyramine (migraine) diet) I usually can eat nothing at a free breakfast buffet so I was SO happy and so was the entire family. Also, everything else was just wonderful, Playa Langosta beach was just steps away and much less busy from Tamarindo. Yoga classes were wonderful, the instructors were GREAT. And what hotel offers free, delicious house mixed fresh cocktails at sunset every night???!! If it wasn't for staying here we would've been very disappointed in Tamarindo, it's way too much for our taste and this place was the perfect escape from downtown Tamarindo. Don't listen to the Karens and Chads on here with their negative reviews about ridiculous knit picky things, this place is a gem.

Very nice!! The whole vibe is modern, healthy, local, and just amazing. I was nervous about some of the negative reviews but everything was really great! No complaints! Cocktails and juices are amazing. They make all their ingredients The food there is very very good. Gluten free is all clearly marked. Pool is open 24hrs There is a private little beach area Rooms are great with all raw botanicals lotions soaps and shampoos all made locally in Costa Rica There is a spa on site Electric golf cart and bicycles available for rent Sunset drinks everyday on the beach Enjoy!
