We had a wonderful experience at Calhou. We enjoyed a traditional Portuguese cataplana (for two) with mixed seafood. The cataplana is gluten free and delicious! We also enjoyed dessert (pears soaked in port wine). Make sure to make a reservation as the place was very busy. A number of tables near us ordered pizza and it looked delicious.

What an amazing dining experience! The wine was great and it was only 15 euros for a bottle. We ordered a special local dish for two and it was just unbelievable. The prawns, the potatoes, the peppers, the different kinds of fish... I had to order some bread for the leftover fish sauce.
I can’t say enough good things about the place. Cristina is a great host and she even had a dessert, which she made herself, for my boyfriend who is celiac. If you are in Lagos, you MUST go there but make sure to book or get there early or else you might end up in the queue!
