Camp Fire Restaurant

Cute little restaurant that is inside a hotel. It is located on a quaint little road and across from a public library so you feel like you are in a Hallmark Movie. We chose this place because it came up in a search for Gluten Free food that was close to Lake Placid. The Butternut squash soup was delicious, I was pleased they had Gluten Free bread to dip in it and the salad was so yummy with the housemade dressing and figs and pears! Very filling. My boyfriend got the burger and said it was really delicious. I liked how they even branded the bun with their logo. Only thing was that it was cold in there so I took off one star for that on atmosphere (I think the AC was on and it was a cooler fall day) so bring a jacket. I did hear other patrons commenting on how cold it was in there and our coffee got cool quickly too. We liked how the coffee mugs were the true adirondack vibe too. The waiter was friendly and very prompt. A good stop and we will be back soon!

A great experience! We stopped here for dinner on our first night visiting the Adirondacks after a long drive and a big hike. They have vegan and gluten free options AND Mocktails. It was probably my favorite beyond burger ever. Our server, Tyler was so attentive and patient with all my allergen questions and even suggested some hikes we would never have known to do if he hadn’t mentioned them. One of them turned out to be our favorite hike of the weekend so between the suggested hikes and food here — it set the bar high for the rest of the trip! Definitely a cool spot!
