Overall this place has a great atmosphere and a solid business model. Pizza and gelato are the perfect combo.
The pizza was hot and freshly prepared. It came to the table about thirty seconds after it left the oven. Maybe a total of 7 minutes after we ordered. The flavor was pretty good, but wasn’t quite where I had hoped it would be. They’re decently solid pizzas, but the experience is great.
The ranch dressing wasn’t particularly good. I think that could potentially use a revamp, as a great ranch can completely redeem a mediocre pizza.
The restaurant is clean and well decorated, and the staff are very friendly. They do offer a gluten free crust which is great, however ours was a little on the over done side on the GF pizza that we ordered. The regular crust was cooked perfectly but was very, very thin in the middle and fell apart on trying to pick it up for a bite. Certainly a fork and knife kind of pizza.
Overall I think there is better pizza around for the price, but if you’re looking for a quick bite with some dessert afterwards, Campfire is the place for you.
