Disappointing is an understatement. The new owners have managed in their first two weeks to take the place down a number of notches. We went in and queued up to get a beer. The woman serving took an eternity to serve someone, who she seemed to be friends with, while other people walked in and queued up behind me. The two schooners I had of West Coast IPA and Hazy IPA were almost flat, well under-gassed. We ordered two pizzas and buffalo wings. One thing the previous owners had done really well at was food. Not these guys. The food we had was AWFUL. The pizzas bases had the same taste and texture to the Domino's gluten-free crust! The al-funghi pizza had onion on it and the buffalo wings were roughly half the size of their predecessors. When I asked a question about the adjacent brewery supplies store, she shrugged and didn't even try to answer. If only we could go back to the days of Bar 951, where Sally created a genuine community establishment. We are an ocean away from that here.
