The best food we have had in Lisbon, and with gluten-free options <3. We ordered the shrimp with banana and the chicken in peanut sauce and everything was very delicious. Furthermore, Sebastião treated us very well, it has been a pleasure.

This is a very relaxed Mozambican outdoor patio in the midst of Mouraria. The tables are arranged along the pedestrian street in a long thin triangle and are populated by both tourists and locals. Despite visiting Lisbon for only 5 nights in September my wife and I ate here twice. Once by ourselves and again a few days later with 5 other couples we were travelling with. Some of them described it as the best night of their stay in Lisbon. On the first night I chose a piri piri coconut chicken which I found to be pretty bland. My wife however enjoyed her gluten free Makoufe which was a shrimp, crab, and cabbage stew cooked in a peanut and coconut sauce. On the second night my wife had prawn curry – as did others in our party – and everyone enjoyed that meal. I chose Miamba ma Macua which was prawns and banana in a coconut sauce and I quite enjoyed it. One other person in our group ordered a large shellfish dish (crab, clam, shrimp, etc) that he thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant also offers both Angolan and Mozambican beer which were nice flavourful lagers. Service was pleasant and attentive.
