Cap'n Cat Clam Bar

Since the pandemic a lot of places have struggled with numerous issues and I think that Cap’n Cats had its own problems along the way but have come out the other side pretty much intact. We have gone there for takeout during the pandemic and a few times after the lockdown and found it to be very hit or miss. However, we went there last night for my son’s birthday dinner and were wonderfully impressed with everything! We had shrimp, mussels and the crab combo, which has been our “go to” for years, and I felt like I was right back at the Cap’n Cats from 10 years ago!! Now, I must mention that my wife has recently been diagnosed with Celiac Disease and can NOT eat any gluten. We called the day before to see what their protocol for people with the disease was and they put us on the phone with a person that was very knowledgeable about gluten and was very helpful at putting us at ease. When we arrived the next day we let our server know about my wife’s condition and they were very helpful and knowledgeable as well, and we’re happy to say that my wife never had a reaction. All in all it was a great experience, from the knowledgeable staff, the great service and wonderfully prepared seafood. Thank you to everyone at Cap’n Cats for such a fantastic experience!!
