Capella's

Today was our second visit in two months, first visit my rissotto was disgusting, it had all sorts thrown in and not even all the ingredients described in the menu. Got our money back but still hungry. And today was not good either, my husband’s risotto came out with prawns instead of chicken, they changed the meat to chicken but the taste suggested that it was still the original risotto base ( he doesn’t like prawn taste in risotto ), the rice was not cooked therefore hard in the middle. My ceaser salad was advertised gluten free and with Parmesan cheese, I don’t think I got either as there was no visible Parmesan cheese and the extremely hard and impossible to bite into at times croutons seemed to be wheat bread. I asked the girl if it was gluten free and she said she didn’t know and I asked did it have Parmesan in it and she just said I’ll tell the chef instead of actually answering me. I told her my husband’s rice wasn’t cooked and we got the same blase reply, she took our money and threw me a look as I left. We used to go to Capellas a lot but not any more😡

We ordered take away from here last night while staying in Port Hughes and it was absolutely delicious! The Casa Della and the Carnivora are truly spectacular toppings. I ordered gluten free base and it was perfect - so good! Hot chips as well were a big hit! Serving size was quite big - we ordered 2 family size pizzas for 3 adults and 5 children and had enough for everyone for 2 dinners! Which is completely fine because now we don't have to cook tonight 😆 Will definitely order from here next time we're in Port Hughes, though the restaurant itself looked beautiful (lots of leafy green outdoor dining areas), so could potentially eat in next time! Looking forward to it! Thanks for an absolutely delicious meal! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
