Capital Doner Washington DC ( Shawarma - Gyro)

The staff are very nice but not knowledgeable on their ingredients/ allergies (this may have been a language thing) I asked repeatedly about the dish if it had wheat (got the chicken rice plate) and they said no - they asked if I can have rice and i said yes as long as you don’t add anything to it. They said they don’t. Opened the dish at home to see what was clearly not rice mixed in with the rice - traditional Turkish rice made with brown butter pasta bits 🙀 I know they don’t advertise to be gluten free or anything but considering we directly asked and they affirmed - FYI - this could be a lawsuit in the making. Please train your staff

Loved eating here. Their doner chicken box is phenomenal. I love the salad and fries mix, it reminds me of the amazing doner I have had in Germany. Can’t wait to bring our friends back since it’s been impossible to find such great doner. As someone who is gluten free, this box is perfect. You can get it vegetarian without chicken and it would still be phenomenal. Their falafel looks great, just not sure if it’s gluten free.
