Captain Bob’s Chowder Sisters

The chowder was delicious. I really like that it’s gluten free, not because I’m celiac but because it didn’t taste gluey, like some flour thickened soups can. The cod and fry plate was also delicious! The cod had a tasty crunchy batter and the tartar sauce it came with was tasty! The slaw was unique- slightly sweet with dried cranberries! Yum! The service was great- she plated the two cod pieces on 2 separate plates, each with fries, slaw and tartar sauce without even being asked. The fries were crispy and so good! It was also nice that we could sit outside with our dogs during this meal. I would definitely recommend this place!

Awesome place! It doesn’t look like much but the chowder and fish were so good!! The chowder is gluten free so I could eat tons of it. I was also able to ask for my fish unbreaded (gluten free) and everyone was so accommodating to my allergy. They were so sweet and friendly. There aren’t many seats unfortunately and it does look a little run down but I highly recommend for the food and proximity to the ocean and the flea market that was happening down the street.

Good honest seafood at a great price. The chowder was well done and also happens to be gluten free (I'm not personally GF but I know that can be a big draw for some!). We came for the crab rolls which were great. There is a cozy small-town feel to the restaurant atmosphere. The owner was pleasant to chat with. We'd stop by here again next time we're in town!
