Carnitas El Bajio Authentic Mexican Restaurant

Fantastic mexican food, good service. More authentic than the chain or local big restaurant. A bit pricey but you do get great portions and food is sssooo tasty. We paid about $40 for 2. Chips and salsa are served. Salsa is fantastic. Both got just water. I had the Barbacoa - tender, flavorful melt in mouth, no fatty prices. . My husband got the ribs in salsa verde. Nice flavor to the salsa with a kick and meat fell off the bone. Both Came with rice and beans and tortillas on the side. All Tasted fresh. And gluten free options. As we ate we saw them filling a case of chicharrones ( pork rinds). After we paid for our meal we bought almost a pound of chicharrones ( they were still warm!) and a pack of corn tortillas for $9. We ate one when we got to the car.... We now know why customers were lined up for them! So delicious 😋

Amazing flavor in all of their dishes!! The verde and roja sauces are AMAZING! My husband has been looking for a restaurant that serves an entire fish and El Bajio did not disappoint!! The staff is insanely friendly and willing to go the extra mile to ensure the food you order is to your linking. They are especially considerate of food allergies. I need to eat GF (gluten-free) and had a taco with a homemade corn tortillas and it tasted SO good I was sure there was flour in it. I asked the wait staff who asked the cook who wasn't sure...so they CALLED the women who produces them just to check! And low and behold, they were GF!! So amazing! ☺️☺️☺️
