Caroline's Boatshed Bar and Eatery

Gluten free options available. Food was delicious with a large portion size, great value. It was busy but we didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive at the table. Staff were all friendly and gave exceptional service.

Its a real shame that I am giving a bad review, because I want so badly to recommend Caroline’s. I have been here multiple times with different groups of people, and I can be certain of my verdict. Caroline’s has great staff, great atmosphere, delicious drinks, and an all around fantastic dining experience. Unfortunately, while the seafood here is to die for, the rest of the menu is very hit or miss. Do not bother with their gluten free options, the garlic bread was exhorbantly overpriced for two slices of supermarket gluten free bread with garlic butter, and the one time I took up the gluten free option on a sandwich, the freshly baked artisan bread was again replaced with cheap supermarket sliced GF bread. We made the decision to host an event dinner here, and unfortunately to say, almost half of my guests were very let down - with the only vegan option being very lackluster, and one actually getting food poisoning from undercooked chicken. So again, I would love to be able to recommend Caroline’s boatshed as a go to establishment, but if you do go, for gods sakes stick to the salmon - they definitely specialise in seafood
