Carrabba's Italian Grill

If you have any type of allergy do not go to this restaurant!!! They are clearly untrained. We specifically went there for the gluten free options, got gluten anyways. Spoke with the manager who was defensive in the whole conversation and is referring us to “loss control” obviously thinking we just wanted a free meal. That is after committing multiple times 20 minutes after leaving the restaurant. Pretty sure the waiter’s recommendation of the salad dressing of Italian had the gluten so obviously wasn’t trained well enough as no less than three times did we mention everything needed to be gluten free for one in our party. Maybe manager needs some training too as this review would not be posted if he had better customer service skills with us when we told him of the problem and did better training of staff.

We have been there before and everything was great but our last visit was very disappointing. They changed their gluten-free pasta because of celiacs. Everyone at the table was having it and it was way overdone bowl of mush!

Clearly listed gluten-free items. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with my other allergies. She even charged my phone that was dying so that I’d be able to get home using GPS. It was my first time and me and a couple girlfriends went together and they let us keep our table for a long time we visited for three hours, and the waitress was amazing. They even were able to make me a gluten-free dessert, even though there wasn’t one on the menu. They just made some modifications to one of the desserts. I think this would be a great location, but I had a great night there. The food was delicious. It was affordable, but still felt very fancy. When I go out, I like to purchase things that are not super simple to make it home so that I’m enjoying something that would take me a lot of effort to make and I felt that this restaurant fulfilled that desire.
