I've been here several times a year for many years and the high quality of the food and service is very consistent. They understand gluten free and the chef is happy to make a dish gluten free when possible.
It has a relaxed atmosphere with a charming, cozy interior.
I had a nice, classic bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer with a kind of jam that didn't really add anything. My companions shared a generous mushroom bruschetta.
For an entree, I ordered the special : a mix of seafood over pasta you could get with red sauce or garlic butter. The chef made GF pasta no problem.
Honestly, it wasn't my favorite thing I've had, but I probably should have ordered the spicy version .
There were two GF desserts to choose from: creme brulee and flourless chocolate cake. Both are delicious. There were many other wonderful looking desserts including carrot cake, chocolate peanut butter cake, cannoli, a cream puff, another chocolate cake and more.
Just a note, people I have dined with rave about the snapper soup and get it every time they go. Also, the schnitzel is very popular.
Lastly, at lunch time, you can order from a lunch menu, a lighter fare menu or the dinner menu. So you can have a cheeseburger and ice tea or a steak and a glass of wine or something in between. Your choice.
