We have been satisfied diners at the Carrol's Creek Cafe for several years now. We drive almost an hour to reach their location in Annapolis, so it is always a special treat for us. Their convenient parking is a breeze, but do make sure you have your parking ticket validated. Their red wine onion soup is one of our favorites, with a rich flavorful broth, but not as salty as other versions of onion soup, well worth a try. Their seasonal citrus and beet salad is my personal salad selection, if it is not available, the Carrol Creeks salad is also quite good. Their infrequent offering of soft shell crab appetizer is described as "whale sized" by the waiter but in actuality is quite modest and smaller than we would have liked for the price. Their entree selection is good, we usually go with the specials offered that evening. Their poached grouper was perfectly prepared with a moist tender texture that was excellent, the lemongrass flavoring was delicious. Their desert menu is worth a look. The Expresso creme brulee is highly recommended, their ice cream is rich and creamy with crafted flavors, the flour less chocolate cake (gluten free) is also very nice. We visit Carrol's Creek Cafe on special occasions and would visit more often if we were nearer! A great place to dine and relax with a view of the boats in the marina.
