I recently tried Caruso's for the first time to meet up with some family for dinner. I have Celiac and I really appreciated that they not only have a gluten-free menu but also they take the food prep seriously to minimize cross-contamination and make sure it's actually gluten free. Our server, Brady, was great. He was knowledgeable about the gluten free options and made me feel comfortable that they take it seriously. He was very attentive and made sure we were always good and had everything we needed. I drink a lot of water and a pet peeve of mine at restaurants is the slow pace of refills, but I felt like Brady made sure my glass was always at least half full. The food itself was pretty good. I ordered the gluten-free chicken parm plus they were nice enough to bake fries in the oven to avoid cross contamination in the fryer. The food was good, though I do wish that the portion size for the chicken would have been a little bigger for the price, but I can't really complain about eating gluten free chicken parm! I also really like their red wine list, which was a nice bonus. Overall, I recommend Caruso's, especially if you are on a gluten free diet. I definitely will return.

I feel like this is a situation where if no one tells them, it'll never get fixed. That being said ... We had incredibly attentive service from start to finish. The food quality was sub par, particularly the gluten free options. I'm always glad when a restaurant has options and I'll give it a solid chance. Well I did just that...3 times. I've never ever once been served a dish that wasn't completely cold in the middle (once the gf chicken strips, twice the chicken parm). There's a good chance that their gluten Free options are frozen until someone orders them, And that's okay because I understand the shelf life is shorter.... But for it to be cold and completely lacking flavor three times that's no longer a mistake it's a teachable lesson to overcome. I love that they have gf croutons except this time they were not at all crunchy, just stale chewy bread chunks. Reiterating, had such great service. But For a $125 bill most would expect the quality to be higher. I do hope they see this review and do an overhaul. Please don't do away with GF options. Just revise the menu and training protocols. I will follow up abd hope 4th times a charm because I believe places can evolve and improve. Go back to the quality it was built upon.
