Casa Mangiare

We have been wanting to visit this sister restaurant to our favorite Casa do Brazil, and so booked a table for an early date night. We had heard that it is a very romantic place to spend an evening, and it is definitely true. There are even some private alcoves for couples who really want a romantic evening... The place is beautiful and the service is impeccable, we felt like royalty. The Italian menu is large enough to have variety but not so large that you get lost. Everything is delicious and beautifully presented, from my lobster and pasta to my husband's succulent beef dish. They do have a gluten-free rice fettuccine, you would never know the difference, and my gluten-free husband was pleased. Warm herbed focaccia bread with a carafe of olive oil was delivered to our table first, delicious! Cocktails were perfect, a bit slow to come out though, as the bar was busy. They do have a happy hour menu, with both food and drinks, and there was a nice lively crowd in the bar, separate from the dining area which is quiet, romantic and elegant, definitely not for children. They is a large beautifully landscaped outdoor seating area, you would not know you were right off University Drive.

The very best meal I have had in Bryan / College Station EVER. Our waiter, Zen, was perfect and the food was exceptional. Ambiance is a level up than anything I have seen here. Just a GREAT experience. Gluten Free selections were abundant.
