Casa Manila Danforth

It was a full house on a Monday night, half the restaurant was reserved, including one group that had pre-ordered quite the spread! Maria was super friendly and helpful though she was alone for serving (she explained an employee hadn't come in but she made sure we enjoyed our experience, we hope she wasn't too exhausted by the end!). The food was simply delicious, the descriptions are informative (easy to spot gluten-free or veggie/vegan options) and accurate, and the choices are beautiful and tasty. Strongly recommend!

My lady and I were here for dinner tonight. She's had Filipino food before, I had not. Which is weird as I think I've had every other east Asian cuisine that's available. I'd heard wonderful things about Garlic Fried Rice and it didn't disappoint. We had the Kare Kare and other assorted veggies and everything was wonderful. Another point..we had what was probably the best Sangria we'd ever had. I'm both vegetarian and gluten-free. Unexpected were the number of gluten-free options, including desserts. I think it's the first place I've ever been that wasn't a dedicated gluten-free restaurant where there were nearly every dessert option was gluten-free. Also important, they clearly indicate on the menu those items that are gluten-free. Two thumbs up from this couple, we'll be back for sure!
