Casi Cielo

Casi Cielo has been my husband and I’s go to since we moved here 4 years ago, we take everyone visiting us here as well. The service is second to none, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. I haven’t had a single thing I haven’t loved, but my go to is always the chilaquiles. Even the simple dishes and drinks are crafted with so much care. They also have a large assortment of gluten and dairy free options as well. I recommend making a reservation as we’ve always had to sit at the bar when we don’t. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say.

I felt bad, because my friend was quite excited to take me to this restaurant , he thought I would love it. I’m a celiac. I ordered the brunch pollo. Server was not knowledgeable about what I could eat. Our brunch entrees came out 10 mins apart, so my brunch guest was awkwardly waiting for my entree to come while his was getting cold. Mine came and it was cold. I expected it to be hot off the grill, the chicken was cold, my egg was cold. Overall, the only part I enjoyed was my the company of my friend and the glass of Chilean wine I ordered.

He took the time to explain each dish on the menu in detail, showcasing his knowledge and passion for the cuisine. It was impressive how he effortlessly switched between languages, ensuring everyone at the table felt included and informed. One of our guests had a gluten-free requirement, and Vanni went above and beyond to accommodate this request. He liaised with the chef to modify the main dish without any hesitation, making sure we all felt at ease and well taken care of. The mole was rich and complex, and the fresh tortillas were heavenly. Every bite reflected the care and creativity of the kitchen. Overall, Almost Heaven "Casi Cielo" not only delivers exceptional food but also remarkable service that makes you feel at home. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to explore the delicious offerings of Oaxacan cuisine. We can't wait to return!
