Cast Iron Steak House

They accidentally gave me gluten, but other than the fact I almost died, the food was good!

This place is awesome! Our server was one of the friendliest people I've ever met in my life, and he was taking care of us in addition to a big holiday party of 25! Never once did he make us feel neglected or like a bother. He was incredibly attentive and considerate of our needs. And speaking of needs, I have celiac disease and eat a very strict gluten free diet. This place has some fantastic GF options and they're all clearly labeled on the menu. Most places that provide any GF options give you the choice of around 1 app, a couple of entrees, 1 or 2 sides, and that's it. Not Cast Iron Steakhouse. All of the steaks are an option (and they are good from what I hear), but not being a huge steak person, I was excited that they had plenty of other dishes I could eat and I was spoiled for choice! There were at least 3 appetizers that were safe and 5 or 6 entree options. I got the salmon, which was very good, but when I go back (and I will be going back) I'm getting the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. My hubby ordered this and let me steal a couple of bites. Holy cow... That stuff is AMAZING!!! Totally worth another trip from south Louisville to get my own. Our friends had steak and meatloaf and they were both happy with their choices. My meal was paired with a red sangria (very tasty!) And we finished with a gluten free cheesecake... Yes, they even had a Celiac safe desert option, and I believe they're trying to add more. This is the best restaurant I've found in a long time and I will definitely be going back as well as recommending it to everyone I know!
